I think I figured out the issue. I had to install the "Routing" feature listed under Routing and Remote Access in the feature installation dialog. I guess previous operating systems installed this by default.

Since you client don’t get any IP address please first confirm your DHCP in VPN server has configured correctly, then check whether the metric of the default route is lower. Then ensured that Ping some intranet server access is working fine.
