The default password for logging in to the 3DM2 web interface of a 3ware controller is " 3ware " for both the Administrator and User accounts. RAID controllers from 3ware that can be managed by 3DM2. On the 3DM2 Settings page next to Password, choose whether the Administrator or User password should be changed.

Normally in order to fix this issue you would just issue an updated SSL cert but 3DM2 does not offer this option, so you will need to open up a legacy browser. then open the local server address, https://localhost:888/ It is possible you will need to go into internet explorer > internet options > advanced and enable addition SSL protocols as well.

What is installed besides the drivers for the onboard hardware?
Nothing else is installed besides the drivers for the onboard Hardware, mostly Intel and Realtek directly.
Is 3DM2 unreachable?
Everything is good so far, but 3DM2 is unreachable. Each and every Browser i've tried told me to check if we're online and if i've written the adress correctly.

Is Broadcom 9361 bad?
As a side note the new Broadcom cards are complete trash, specifically the 9361 was so bad and unstable it was unusable. Not just hardware performance but the software is extremely unstable so that is why I'm still using these older 3ware cards still to this day.

3dm2 still has an important issue here. we can access the configuration page with konqueror . However the email notification test crashes 3dm2 . 3dm2 may not send an email regarding a failed disk etc..

sorry to revive an old thread but this might help: there is a know bug with 3dm2 and smtp settings: you can not use a smtp hostname. Use instead the smtp IP address and voilà !
