(Remote Access) There are two ways to get remote access: Recommended - Use this website! This is the preferred method for Library access. Enter your AMC network username and password when prompted to gain access. You will only be prompted to log in once per session. Citrix provides clinical system access. Special steps are required to download and print Library eResources when using Citrix.

How do I get remote access to the AMC library?

For remote access enter your AMC username and password when prompted. If you have questions or need help contact us at 518-262-5532 or Library@amc.edu. For best results use Chrome, Edge or Firefox. How do I connect to the AMC student network?

The Student network requires that you enter your AMC network username and password; be sure that you entered it correctly. Be patient as it may take a minute for the connection to process.

How do I force the AMC terms of use landing page?

In the address browser type 10.10.10.10 to force the AMC terms of use landing page to open. You can also try removing the known network and reconnecting. Locate the network you are trying to connect to by navigating to Windows Settings > Network & Internet > WiFi > Manage Known Networks.

What is access center?

The Access Center is staffed round-the-clock with RNs, LPNs, access associates and a Nursing Supervisor—all of whom understand the complexities of care, can determine bed availability in real-time, and swiftly and safely facilitate patient transfers. To better serve you, the Access Center team has our physicians’ schedules and contact information readily available, so they can reach physicians quickly and give you the information you need to know prior to transfer. Additionally, our team will assist you in handling all of the details related to the transfer—whether it be admitting patients to the emergency room or directly to an inpatient unit. In the days following the transfer you will receive a report from Albany Medical Center and a clinical summary of the care rendered to your patient for your review and records.

For the parents of young patients, Albany Med also offers the Ronald McDonald Family Room located on the same floor as the Children’s Hospital. The Family Room provides a warm, homelike atmosphere for parents and families who want to be near their child at the hospital and yet need a quiet place to rest.
