What is a BCU post date?
Any item drawn on your BCU account. Any item that is “stale-dated” or “post-dated”. Any item that is incomplete (date missing, payee missing, etc.) Any item that contains evidence of alteration to the information on the check. Any item that is stamped with a “non-negotiable” watermark.
Who can deposit anywhere?
Deposit Anywhere is available to all Credit Union members who have account (s) in good standing. As long as a parent or guardian is a joint owner on the account and is eligible for Deposit Anywhere, Minors/kids accounts - deposits can be made to minors'/kids' accounts.
What is remote access to BU?
Remote Access to BU Network Resources. Most networked resources will function just as they do when you are on campus. However, as determined by license agreements and other requirements, some resources will look at your network (IP) address to determine whether or not you are on campus, and require a different level of authentication if you are not.
What is a VPN for BU?
BU’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to temporarily assign a BU network address to your off-campus computer. You can log in to the VPN at http://vpn.bu.edu or learn more.
What is a BU web login?
Web Login is BU’s standard method of authenticating you to BU web sites. Whether you are on or off campus, you will be prompted to provide your BU login name and Kerberos password as needed to ensure that you are an authorized user of that resource. You should never save your password in Web Login, but should know that you will only be prompted to authenticate once per browser session.
Is remote desktop access secure?
If you use remote desktop access, stay secure. Setting up remote desktop access requires you to think carefully about security, since you want to prevent other people from gaining unlimited remote access to your computer.
