Community Hubs have been set up to help support those deemed vulnerable or through self-isolation during the COVID 19 crisis, signpost ing residents to local services such as preventing loneliness, mental health support and financial and debt advice.

The digital skills course is aimed at supporting you to develop basic computer skills and enable you to confidently use online searches and shopping sites as well as government sites for public services. It includes learning how to create, edit and save different types of files such as documents, images and videos.

Access to a computer or laptop which is connected to the internet is advantageous to enable you to consolidate learning and learn remotely.

Following completion of this course you will be able to progress onto Essential Digital Skills Level 1, this is for students who have some skills but need to be more confidence.
Do you need field trips to take digital literacy?
There are no field trips or work placements required to complete this course however improving your digital literacy skills will be considered advantageous in most workplaces.
