What is remote access service?
Remote Access Service is a centralised service provided by Lancashire County Council Education Digital Services that uses Oracle's Secure Global Desktop (SGD) application. The connection is encrypted and secured using the user's network account and security certificate.
Is Remote Desktop Access included in my broadband package?
Our Remote Desktop Access service is included as a free optional extra for all schools that subscribe to our Broadband and Online Services Bundle.
How do I get remote access to my Device?
If remote access is required, you will be asked to launch a remote access client on your device and enter a unique code supplied by the Support Technician - the link to this is below. You will need to enter the code supplied by your Support Technician.
