The Kaleida Health Remote Access Gateway gives you web-based access to Kaleida Health Citrix resources. Remote Access Gateway requires two-factor authentication. This access is ONLY available from OUTSIDE the Kaleida Health network.

With routine disinfecting, the ER is one of the safest places you can visit outside your own home. If you need emergency care, please don’t hesitate to come in or make an appointment online!

How many support persons can stay with a patient in an emergency department?

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT VISITATION. For adult patients, one (1) support person at a time can stay with the patient once they are placed in a room. For adult patients who are admitted to the hospital, support persons may accompany the patient to their room during that unit's visiting hours.

How many people are allowed at Oishei Children's Hospital?

Pediatric inpatients at Oishei Children's Hospital are allowed up to two (2) designated support person s considered part of the care team. A total of four (4) persons are allowed at the bedside at any given time

How old do you have to be to visit Oishei Children's Hospital?

At Oishei Children’s Hospital, visitors for pediatric patients must be 14 years of age or older. At all other sites, visitors must be 18 years of age or older. Exceptions may be made by the nurse manager/supervisor

Do you have to be tested before visiting a facility?

While not required, visitors are encouraged to be tested on their own before coming to the facility (i.e. within 2-3 days). Facilities may ask about a visitor’s vaccination status, but visitors are NOT required to be tested or vaccinated (or show proof of such). If the visitor declines to disclose their vaccination status, the visitor is required to properly wear a face mask at all times

Can a support person accompany a patient to their room?

For adult patients who are admitted to the hospital, support persons may accompany the patient to their room during that unit's visiting hours. If they are admitted outside of visiting hours, the support person must return during visiting hours.

Can you enter a quarantine facility if you have a positive viral test?

Visitors who have a positive viral test for COVID-19, symptoms of COVID-19, or currently meet the criteria for quarantine should not enter the facility. The facility will continue to screen all who enter for these visitation exclusions

How to obtain copies of birth certificates

Even though the hospitals of Kaleida collect information, complete the original birth certificates, and submit the information to the New York State Department of Health, the birth certificates are maintained by the Department of Vital Statistics in your city or town. All requests for copies of birth certificates must be made to these departments.
