Why is the college offering remote access to computer labs?
To help students in the College of Health and Human Sciences access specialized software required for completing their coursework while university classes are virtual, the college has enabled remote access to several college computer labs.
How do I access the computers in the labs?
The computers in these labs are available 24/7 and can be accessed from a Windows or Mac computer with a current operating system and an internet connection. Please note that the CSU Pulse Secure VPN client must be installed and connected before accessing a computer.
Can I use the computer lab computers for personal projects?

What are the two labs in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department?
The Civil and Environmental Engineering department maintains two instructional computer labs with workstations providing engineering software for student use: 345 Davis Hall and 541 Davis Hall. The labs may be used by students enrolled in CEE classes.
Where is the lab software icon?
Once you are logged into the lab computer you will be able to use all Lab software, found by selecting the windows icon on the bottom left corner of the lab screen.

For the 2021-2022 Academic year, OIT will provide remote access to select campus computer labs. Due to resource limitations, only a subset of computers from these labs will be reserved for remote access. These computers will be made available to students, faculty, and staff on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Availability
Unless otherwise stated by an instructor, remote lab access will be only available after hours and on weekends. Remote access will not be available during normal campus hours.

What labs are accessible remotely?
The Gifford 317, Preconstruction 200 and 201, and Richardson Design Center 104 computer labs are accessible remotely 24/7.
How to connect to a lab computer?

How do I move files between the remote computer and my personal computer?
If you need to move files between the lab computer and your personal computer, your university OneDrive account can be used to upload and download files through a web browser. You can access OneDrive through the Office 365 Portal at https://portal.office.com and signing in with your university Office 365 account (ename@colostate.edu and eID password).

Can you access CSU Pulse from a computer?
Please note that the CSU Pulse Secure VPN client must be installed and connected before accessing a computer.
Will I have access to the lab printers?
With the university’s classes and operations moving to virtual, printing to lab printers is not available .
Why am I unable to log in with my UNI in a Columbia lab?
CUIT computer lab terminals are restricted to active students and faculty. Computer terminals in IAB and the Business School do not accept UNI logins and are generally restricted to students in SIPA or the Business School, respectively. Please contact the appropriate support center for more information or help with logging in to these terminals.
What does it mean when you get a message saying "The number of connections to this computer is limited and all connections?
If you receive a message that reads "The number of connections to this computer is limited and all connections are in use right now", it means the computer you selected is already being used by someone. Check again which computers are available and select an unused one.
What to do if ADCU doesn't work?
If it doesn't work, you may have to use ADCUUNI as your username to log in. For example: ADCUab1234. Click OK when prompted for a certificate. IMPORTANT: Please log out using the logout button on the desktop when you are done so others can use the computers.
Step 2: Acquiring the Microsoft Remote Desktop app
Next, you will need the Microsoft Remote Desktop app from the Mac App Store installed to be able to establish a direct remote connection to a office or research lab Windows computer on campus (as identified above in Step #1), or to the CoE student lab computers (via the “.rdp” files that can be opened by the Remote Desktop app).
Step 3: Starting the Microsoft Remote Desktop app
You will be prompted for access to your Mac’s microphone and camera, click on “Continue”. You DO NOT need to grant the app access. Simply click on “Deny” in the prompts (these settings can be changed later, if needed):
Step 4: Find a College of Engineering Lab Computer to connect to
Students have been given the ability to remotely access College of Engineering instructional lab machines, which have necessary software packages for courses. A web page has been created to assist students find a machine that is available.
Step 5: Starting your Remote Desktop connection to student lab PC
If the connection to the lab PC does not immediately start, manually start the connection by double-clicking on the new connection profile's button.
Step 6: Authenticating to establish Remote Desktop Connection to campus PC
You should be then prompted to log into your remote Windows computer, please make sure you include the COEIT domain postfix after your username, i.e. lastname.#@coeit.osu.edu, and enter your OSU account password in the appropriate fields. Then click on “Continue” to proceed.
