What is campus VPN?
The Campus VPN is Full Tunnel. The “full tunnel” sends all your traffic through the VPN connection, and then out to the Internet through Rutgers’ connection. This is useful when accessing resources that expect to see your connection coming from Rutgers, such as library journals.
Does Cisco AnyConnect require administrator access?
Administrator access to your PC or laptop is required to download and install the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client. Speak to your department’s IT department for assistance with installation, if needed.
Installation Instructions
You should install the AnyConnect app from the Google Play Store, as you would any other android app.
Using the VPN
Once the installation is complete, the “Cisco Anyconnect” will be in your launcher’s app tray.
Ending a VPN Session
To end your session, open the app again to toggle the connection to “off”. Alternatively, you can tap the Android System notification to disconnect as well.
