Remote Access: SSH Access Node
The SoC access node, access.computing.clemson.edu is available from anywhere in the world and provides access to the campus computer network. This node contains only basic utilities and is provided to facilitate access to School resources.
Remote Access: Clemson University VPN
Use the Clemson VPN to virtually connect to the campus network. Visit cuvpn.clemson.edu to more information. Once connected you may SSH directly to any of the resources available in the MOTD, bypassing the access node
Virtual Desktop: Browser
Open a web browser and navigate to virtual.computing.clemson.edu , then follow the instructions in the video below.
Virtual Desktop: Standalone Client
Download and install the client for Windows or Mac and follow the instructions iin the video to connect the client to https://virtual.computing.clemson.edu.

Internet Connectivity
Clemson University recommends an Internet speed of at least 5 Mbps in order to leverage many services, including WebEx and Zoom. If you do not currently have an in-home Internet service provider (ISP), a number of broadband and WiFi providers such as Spectrum, Comcast, Cox and others have extended their service in response to COVID-19.
Computing
When working from home, you may run into the need to authenticate with Duo more often than on campus. The first thing you will need to do is ensure you have a device registered with Duo you can access from home.
