What is a C-More remote HMI?

The C-more Remote HMI is an application for real time remote monitoring and control for the C-more HMI (Human Machine Interface). For this app to function as designed, a C-more panel that supports remote connectivity is required.

How to use C-more?

Connect C-more to your factory network, enable the Web server in your project, and then use any connected PC with a browser to request screen captures and retrieve log files. You can even customize the webpages on your panel with your own HTML files, including your company logo and other user specific information.

What is multilevel access control?

Multilevel Access Control allows each account to be configured in one of the following levels of access. Full control access, View only access, View and Screen change only access

How many remote access accounts can be configured?

Three Remote Access user accounts can be configured and stored in the panel project. Each account allows up to five remote users to be connected simultaneously, with the same access rights.

Can you use FTP to request files from C-more?

Use your FTP client to request files from the C-more panel at anytime. Retrieve log data without disturbing the operator, or even opening the cabinet.

This permission level gives the remote user the ability to only view the screen that is active on the panel (view the screen that a local operator is viewing). This can be utilized for users that are not authorized to change screens or control objects. This permission level will not interfere with the local operations of the panel. This mode could be used by managers who want to monitor machine operations without interfering with the local operator or automatic processes. (See Figure 2)

Three Remote Access user accounts can be configured with unique user names and passwords and stored in the panel project which allows for multiple levels of access. Each account allows up to five remote users to be connected simultaneously. Users have the ability to remotely monitor, change screens, or have full control of the C-more panel. How many tags are there for remote access?

Each remote access account has two tags associated with it. These tags can be used to enable or disable each remote access account and notify the local user when a remote access account is active.

How many users can you have on a C-more panel?

Although each account supports up to five users at a time, consideration should be given to how this could affect the operations of the application that the C-more panel is controlling, as well as the effects on the panel’s performance. For safety reasons, it is highly recommended that for applications where that panel controls moving equipment, only one remote user is allowed to connect to the accounts that allow screen change or full control of the panel.

What is the C-more alarm banner?

If an alarm is assigned to the notification tag of an account , the C-more system alarm banner will continue to display the alarm message. An example would be text such as “Remote Access Account 1 Active- Full Control”. This gives local operators notice that a remote user is connected.

Where can I get C-More?

C-More remote HMI App can be obtained from the Apple iTunes store, Google Play or Amazon App Store for mobile devices. Here is a link to help setup the C-More remote HMI app on your mobile device.

What is a C-More HMI panel?

The C-More HMI Panel can function as a simple web server. A web server includes software and hardware that will respond to World Wide Web client requests. The communication used between client and server takes place using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol. (HTTP).

How to add remote HMI file to desktop?

This is a windows based program. We can add a shortcut to this file by right-clicking the file and selecting Create shortcut. This can be then placed on your Windows desktop.

Can you control the C-More EA9?

We can now fully control our C-More EA9 HMI from this remote access window. The bottom left corner of the window will indicate that we are logged on and have full control.

Does C-more Remote Access require additional hardware?

No Additional Hardware requiredThe C-more Remote Access feature resides in the operator interface touch panel and requires no option modules. Simply configure the network settings in the panel project and connect the panel to a network. (This feature requires software and firmware version 2.4 or later to function.*)

Can I download apps from C-more?

Where is the connection on a C-more?

At the top, you will see CONNECTION. This is used to display the current connection you have with the C-more unit and change to a different C-more unit.

How to unlock EA9 C-more?

This can be done by pressing and holding the button while operating the HMI or double-tapping the unlock button to turn it on all of the time.

What is the Pause button on a C-more?

Pause/Play button is next on the menu. This will pause the updates from the remote c-more unit but maintains the connection.

Is the C-more remote HMI free?

We will now look at using the remote HMI app for C-more. This is available now free of charge for the Android and IOS systems.

How to access C-more panel on same router?

In order to access an additional C-more panel on the same router using the same public IP address, use a different Web server port number and Remote Access port number for each panel. (See Figure 2)

The second port number required is the Remote Access port number. The default for this application is 11102.

Do all C-more Panels have Compact Flash slots?

No. Only C-more full featured panels come with a built -in CF1 slot. –R models do not have the CF1 slot and do not support the Expansion unit required for the CF2 slot.

Yes. The C-more panel will work with most brands of USB pen drives, provided they meet the following criteria:

What is the difference between a backup of a project and the project transferred from the C-more Software to the panel?

The project transferred to the panel, either to Internal Flash or CF1, is a “runtime” file. The panel can load this file directly to its internal volatile memory for execution. This file contains only the runtime project. The file extension is EAP.

What is the target device for a log file?

This procedure copies all log files from all memory devices to the target device. In this case, the Target Device is USB.

When is remote access memory consumed?

Memory considerations: Remote Access memory is consumed only when the remote access feature is enabled in the project and loaded to the panel. The Remote Access feature consumes memory based on the LCD resolution:
