I would say that Remote Access Connection Manager and or Remote Access Auto Connection Manager has didn’t start succesfully. Check in start, settings, control panel , administrative tools, services if they started. Check also on the eventviewer in of the pc if there are any error messages.

I’ve tried that but didn’t work. It could be a registry setting that i need to tweak to re-enable it. Of the 5 options in the Network Connection Wizard, the 1st (dial to private network via modem or ISDN), 3rd (connect private network through internet) and 5th (connect directly through another computer) option is grayed out.

Check the eventviewer, save the logs and clear then, install sp4 and reboot and check the eventviewer if you see any error messages. I am assuming also that you have a administrative account.
