How do I access CSULB software?

The Software Depot supports CSULB faculty, staff, and students by providing access to software licensed by the university. For assistance, contact ATS-Depot@csulb.edu. Click on the linked titles below for instructions to access the software. If a software title is not linked, visit Single Sign-On (SSO) and select the Software Depot icon.

How do I contact the California State University Long Beach help desk?

What can I do with access to a remote lab?

With access to remote labs, students can work with software not available on their personal computers. Some applications may not work as intended due to the limitations of remote desktops. Students who are physically present on campus can use the wireless printing network to send files to print at the campus locations listed below.

How do students access their courses on Beachboard?

Students can access their individual courses on Beachboard or look for emails from their instructors about their course's delivery of instruction. Students, faculty, and staff must complete a pre-arrival health screening questionnaire each day before coming to campus. The online questionnaire is available on the single sign-on site.

What is remote access service?

Remote access services, or Virtual Private Network (VPN), is a campus network solution allowing individuals to securely access internal networks and computers over the Internet while away from campus, using encrypted tunnels to ensure data cannot be accessed without authorization.

Who can use remote access form?

Remote Access Request Form ONLY for CSULB-sponsored individuals such as contractors, consultants, and auditors

Is VPN available on campus?

Because it is not necessary to use VPN on the campus’ already secure network, it is not available while on-campus. in order to install the VPN software, you must have admin rights to the computer. Please contact your technical coordinator if you have issues installing.

Is @email or campus-domain valid?

Note: only enter Campus ID or account name. @email or campus-domain is not valid.

Can you install VPN on off campus?

Note: this installation can only be done from off campus, and in order to install the VPN software, you must have admin rights to the computer. Employees can contact your technical coordinator if you have issues installing. Students can contact the Technology Help Desk.

How many feet of physical distancing is required for a break room?

Physical distancing is no longer a requirement of CAL-OSHA or public-health guidance, except in lunch or break rooms where six feet of spacing must be maintained between employees who may be eating or drinking. Individuals who are not vaccinated are also recommended to maintain six feet of physical distancing from others while outdoors. Please see face-covering requirements posted on this website for additional details.

Does Long Beach offer booster shots?

The City of Long Beach health department is offering third doses, or booster shots, to all staff and faculty and qualifying students at the mobile clinic outside the University Bookstore. Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson boosters are being offered by the city-run clinic. Student Health Services continues to administer first and second dose vaccines to the campus community.

Is testing available on campus?

In addition to the many options offered off campus, testing on campus is offered on the following days, times, and locations.

Does CSULB have a sanitizing program?

While professional cleaning reduces health risks, every member of the CSULB community has a joint responsibility to sanitize their own work area and shared resources, including meeting rooms and commonly touched surfaces. Disinfecting materials will be provided in these areas so occupants can do their part to prevent the transmission of pathogens on surfaces.

This service offers no-cost, convenient access from nearly any common device without the need to physically visit a campus computer lab. Some applications may not work as intended due to limitations of remote desktop access.

Does a student's accommodation letter apply to virtual learning?

Note: Not all accommodations listed in a student’s Eligibility Letter and/or Faculty Notification Letter apply to the virtual learning environment/online exams (e.g. private room, distraction-reduced environment, etc.)

Does the Learning Center offer online tutoring?

In support of the campus move to alternative instruction, the Learning Center is offering online tutoring and academic coaching services. Learning Center will provide more information on online options when available. Please check their website for updates.

Does BMAC require test accommodation?

Instructors are being asked to accommodate all exams within the virtual class environment for BMAC students solely needing extended time and/or distraction-reduced environment accommodations; a test accommodation form is not required to be on file within MyBMAC in these instances. Please reach out to Support Services at BMAC-Exams@csulb.edu if you have any questions about test accommodation forms or scheduling exams during virtual classes.
