How do I access the Columbia network from a remote location?

Remote access to network files and administrative applications on the Columbia network via VPN and Citrix. Also known as VPN , Citrix , RDP, or XenApp. CUIT provides two methods to connect to the Columbia network from a remote location: VPN and Citrix . Please note: The Citrix software is also used by other groups at Columbia such as SIPA.

You must be at your enrolled landline, smartphone or basic mobile phone to receive an automated call from Duo. Open Cisco AnyConnect on the computer or device you will be using with CUIMC VPN. Make sure the Group field shows CUMC-VPN . If not use the drop down menu to select it.

Can I use cu duo with cuimc VPN?

Duo is already being used at Columbia University for many online systems, however any existing CU account in Duo cannot be used with CUIMC VPN; a separate CUIMC account must be set up. After set up simply log in to VPN as usual and use your selected method for MFA.

CUIT computer lab terminals are restricted to active students and faculty.
