I’m trying to get IS-IS configured over a GRE tunnel between two MX204 routers. IP works fine across the tunnel, but not IS-IS. The typical hurdle I imagine is in regard to IS-IS’ MTU 1492 requirement. However, this tunnel is strictly routed over links supporting jumbo frames. I have confirmed IP MTU of over 8950 without any fragmentation.
