This article has information to resolve the inability to access the Dell Precision Host BIOS configuration option in Pre-Boot/Pre-POST (Power-on Startup) phase of system startup when using a Teradici Host Access card on the Dell Precision R7910 / R7920, and remotely accessed from a Wyse P25 / 45 / 5030 / 7030 following an update of the Dell Precision host to latest BIOS version..

Issue

Before BIOS update & with BIOS Setting "Dell Wyse P25/P45 BIOS Access" is set to Enabled, the Wyse endpoint is able to see Pre-POST display from the host: Dell splash screen, Boot Options and the ability to access BIOS configuration (F2), Lifecycle Controller (F10) and Boot Menu (F12) options.

Solution

The solution for this issue is to enable the BIOS setting "Load Legacy Video Option ROM" on the Dell Precision R7910 / R7920.
