How to setup remote access?
Once installed, you can now connect to remote endpoints by following the steps below:
- The software needs to be downloaded on both the local and remote computers.
- Open the software on both the local and remote computers.
- Write down the ITarian ID number and password of the remote computer.
- Click “Start Connection.”
- Enter the ID number and password of the remote computer.
- Click “Connect.”
How to setup remote access for a computer?
- Log in to your RemotePC account with your registered email address and password. Note: If you do not have an existing account, sign up for a RemotePC account.
- On the RemotePC homescreen, click Configure Now!
- Set Computer Name and Personal Key for your computer.
- Click Enable Now!

How to enter password in UNR?
The Windows Security Credential window will appear. Enter in your NetID in the form of UNRNetID and your password and then click OK.

How to add a user to a workspace?
The Add Workspace window will expand. Click on the drop-down menu next to User Account and select Add User Account...
How to see what software is available on a remote desktop?
Click on the Workspaces tab at the top of the window. You will now see a list of available software and remote desktops. Double clicking on any software in the list will launch the software.
How to install Remote Desktop 10?
Install Microsoft Remote Desktop (version 10) from the App Store. Once installed, launch the app. If your computer informs you this application is already installed please make sure it is updated to the newest version.
Can you stream video on campus?
During this time of Campus Alternative Operations please refrain from utilizing any audio or video streaming services within the remote environment to reduce the strain on the remote servers. Video streaming (Zoom, Teams Meetings, Youtube, etc.) should be done on your local computer. Anyone using video or audio streaming within the remote environment may have their remote session terminated without warning.
What is the difference between E drive and Z drive?
For engineering students, there are 2 extra drives. Your Z drive is the main campus wide drive and the E drive is for the ECC only . If this is incorrect, please let me know and I will update the information.
Can you access ECC files remotely?
The new hardware takes the place of remote access to the physical ECC lab computers that are unavailable for in-person use. However, you can still access files you saved to lab computers remotely by using the "ECC Files" shortcut on the remote desktop.
What is a user guide?
The User Guide is for system administrators to remotely access computers with BMC (Baseboard Management Controllers) and IPMI (Intelligence Platform Management Interface). System administrators may easily monitor system conditions or manage issues of remote computers via the web-based interface, a web browser on the Internet.

How to open sensor readings?
The Sensor Readings page displays all the sensor related information. To open the Sensor Readings page, click Sensor from the menu. Click on any sensor to show more information about that particular sensor, including thresholds and a graphical representation of all associated events.
