How do I gain access to edumail?

Once you are registered you can gain access to Department systems and applications, like eduMail. Some links below will take you to a secure website requiring a user ID and password. Manage staff accounts on the intranet. Edumail account required.

You can also contact the service desk via 1800 641 943 or servicedesk@edumail.vic.gov.au The Department is transforming its technology services to enable better collaboration and ease of use. One of the many changes being introduced is better email services.

Is there a plan to remove edumail?

There are no immediate plans to remove this service, however we request that all staff communicate and update their email signatures, documents, intranet sites, webpages and other business material to list their new email address. As part of this upgrade all emails currently stored in your active eduMail account will be migrated.

What emails will be migrated when I upgrade to edumail pro?

As part of this upgrade all emails currently stored in your active eduMail account will be migrated. This includes all emails (and subfolders) in your inbox, sent items, contacts and calendar appointments. This upgrade will not migrate any archived PST, OST or MSG files as these are stored locally on your computer.

What email services are available at UW?

Important messages from the University are sent to your UW email address: UWNetID @uw.edu or UWNetID @u.washington.edu (where UWNetID is your actual UW NetID). You can keep your UW email address after you graduate or no longer attend UW.

Which email service should you use?

Your department or business unit may standardize on either UW Exchange Online or UW Gmail. Contact your local IT support organization before choosing a UW email service.
