When will I be able to access epic?
Student can expect to be able to access Epic in 3-business days after completing training. You can access links to UW Medicine clinical systems on the UW Medicine Clinical Toolkit webpage. You will use your UW Medicine/AMC account to access clinical systems at UW Medicine facilities.
How do I access the epic playground?
Note that you will not see any content when logging into the Epic portal until you have been to training. Once you have been to training, you may access the Epic playground. Find the Epic Training folder and select the PLY Hyperspace Icon. Depending upon use, some computers may also be set up to access Epic through the Windows start menu.
Do I need to install Citrix Receiver to access epic?
Citrix Receiver is required to access Epic. If Citrix Receiver is not already installed, click here to download it. The next step is only available on a secure network with Citrix Receiver installed.

EPIC: Empowering Prevention & Inclusive Communities. EPIC is a program to prevent sexual harassment and gender discrimination. EPIC was created by and for UW academic student employees and postdoctoral scholars — including graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants, research assistants, staff assistants, graders, and tutors.

EPIC’s goal is to respond to the needs of departments and communities and work to: 1 Shift UW culture and create new community norms 2 Empower academic student employees and postdoctoral scholars to prevent and respond to sexual harassment 3 Support academic student employees and postdoctoral scholars in identifying how power and identity intersect to create oppressions that facilitate sexual harassment and discrimination in academia
How many EPIC trainings are there?
EPIC currently offers two trainings, if you have never attended an EPIC training please register for the 1.0 training.
How long is EPIC 2.0?
EPIC 2.0: In this 1.5 hour training, we build on our 1.0 conversations to analyze how power works in our departments and work on concrete action steps to prevent sexual harassment. We discuss our particular departments, where our power comes from and what needs to change. We may make healthy use of breakout groups depending on how many people come to each session.

Who is Kaelie from UW?
Kaelie (she/her) is a Ph.D. candidate in the UW Department of English and the Recording Secretary for UAW 4121. She is committed to organizing for a better, more accessible university. Her dissertation, Women with Issues, studies how women novelists have represented and intervened in patriarchal modes of perception. Her work brings together violence prevention and feminist literary criticism.

How to see UW learning bundles?
Login to the UW Learning Hub with your NetID account and click on the Learner Dashboard icon. You will see all modules of the training bundle you’ve been registered for, listed with a Start button on the right hand side of the screen.
Accessing Epic on WashU Computers
Note: These instructions apply to WashU computers only. You must be connected to a secure WashU or BJC network before logging in ( WUSM-secure or direct wired connection, not Guest or Eduroam).
Look for the Epic Web Portal icon
This icon will open Internet Explorer. If you do not see this icon on your desktop, please call your IT help desk (info below). You may also access the Epic web portal directly by going to: https://epic-portal.et0965.epichosted.com

Epic runs through Citrix. If this is the first time you’ve run Citrix content from IE, you may need to click Allow in the bottom of your browser, and again in the security pop-up. Be sure to check Do not show me this warning for this program again.
