How to update Chrome browser for Eze?
All non-Fixed Fee Service ECI clients should update their chrome browsers immediately to version 72.0.3626.121 or higher on all workstations, laptops and servers in their environments. Launch Chrome and in the URL bar and enter in chrome://settings/help to identify your version. Clients can leave their workstations, laptops and servers powered on to receive the browser update. You can also contact the Global Support Desk for assistance in conducting this Browser update. How to protect against ransomware?
Make sure you have good backups of all critical data, and that they are not in a location where ransomware can encrypt them. This is the only sure way to protect against this type of threat.
Is Eze Castle impacted by Solarwinds?
Eze Castle Integration has been made aware of a breach in the Mimecast platform as part of the SolarWinds fallout. We are actively monitoring the situation and will notify our customers of any known impact to their e-mail. At this time we know that ~10% of Mimecast customers were impacted and Mimecast has already reached out to them directly. We are in the process of evaluating to determine if and which of our clients use certificate-based e-mail for Microsoft365.
Is Eze Castle scheduled for patching?
Eze Castle Integration is currently scheduling patching for clients. Communications on scheduled patches are being sent via Everbridge to the client designated Emergency Contacts we have on file. If you have questions, please contact your client manager.

This is great when it comes to maintaining the organisation’s security and ease of access for employees.
Is it safe to bring your own device?
Today, bring your own device (BYOD) policies are becoming widespread. Using a managed (by your firm) personal device is more secure than employees using a device that you have no knowledge of or control over. With this method of gaining access to the firm’s VPN, you can enhance security of access through monitoring the operating system, some applications and endpoint protection. Firms can also ensure encrypted device storage and facilitate on-demand VPN with split tunnelling. And, you can also track some (not all) of the traffic behind corporate firewall and intrusion detection systems (IDS). Whilst the number of risks associated with access from a managed personal device are less in comparison to an unmanaged device, some risks do remain and require careful consideration.
