How do I connect a client to FAHControl?
Enter the name of your client as you would like it to be displayed, the IP address of your client and your password if necessary, and click save You should now see your client is connected in FAHControl.
Can FAHControl remotely manage FAHClient on a Linux machine?

How do I configure FAHControl to work with OVA?
When you deploy you’re OVA you’ll be asked to configure the below highlighted settings, by default we input a rule of 0.0.0.0/0 meaning any FAHControl node can connect (using the correct password). You can alter this for your local subnets. Configuring Access to your Linux based clients or directly on the VMware F@H Appliance N.B.
Remote access
I found a link to configure remote access for v7 across multiple machines on my LAN. The screenshots are not linking properly and I think I'm doing something wrong, as I can't get remote access to work properly. When I save the allowed IP addresses and password on the machine I'd like to be the master, the save function doesn't seem to fix the information into configuration.

Well, somehow my main is accepting allowed IP address range and password, now.

'connection' is the FahControl settings to monitor a Client. 'remote access' is the Clients settings to allow FahControl access.

I'm believing I need some hand holding. I don't know how to edit xml. Could you detail the steps necessary to get to your lovely screenshot?

I've gotten the idea that I add the connections to the main 'local' machine. I configure 'remote access' on the remote machines. The connection, after I shut down the firewall, only goes from 'Offline' to 'Updating' briefly.

I've got the connections set up on the main, now. There's one port for each remote machine. As you depicted in your screenshot. What do I have to configure on the remote machines? I've changed the firewall settings appropriately.

There are several ways this can be accomplished. I have not experimented with all of them, but this is what I'm using and it's working:
