Remote Desktop Error: Failed to start remote access service.

  1. Open command prompt.
  2. Type msconfig.
  3. Click the "services" tab.
  4. Find the Google Updater Service and make sure they are checked (on my computer there were three different ones).
  5. Click OK.
  6. Restart the computer (it should prompt you to do so).
  7. Remote Desktop should now work fine!

Make Sure the PC has an Internet connection and Windows Server is up to date. Update the PC in case of any pending updates.
