What is Zoom for FIU?
Zoom is a web conferencing tool that is available to FIU students, faculty, and staff . This tool also allows you to host video conferences from your own devices and offers multiple integration options including Outlook Google, and the Canvas LMS
What is FIU 2FA?
To access certain resources, you must be enrolled in Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), which adds another layer of security to the authentication process.
How long does it take to process a VDI request?
We are doing our best to process VDI requests as fast as possible. Please allow at least 1-business day for your request to be processed. Note: some requests may take longer depending on the specific services and applications that are requested.
Where can I access file shares?
File shares can be accessed through your FIU Managed Laptop joined to Active Directory or via the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

Does FIU have an email account?
All faculty and staff at FIU have access to their own personal FIU email account, FIUmail. FIUmail is powered by Microsoft and provides FIU faculty and staff with many useful applications.
Can I access my desktop through VDI?
No, you cannot access your desktop through VDI.
How to login to Citrix Apps
You must login to Citrix using your Novell username and password. If you are unable to login, go to the following link to change your Novell password: https://eic.fiu.edu/change-network-password/. There are two ways to utilize the EIC Apps remotely: you can download the Citrix client or log on through the web-based client.

How much is the Aleks assessment fee?
Pay a $25 assessment fee to the ALEKS Corporation. It is important that you pay the required fee prior to your test date. Click here to access the ALEKS Dual Enrollment single sign-on page in order to create your account and to pay the $25 assessment fee.
Does CTCC offer remote exams?
In order to continue to serve the testing needs of our incoming and current students, CTCC, through our Virtual Remote Testing Center (vRTC) model, continues to offer select exams remotely. Now, more than ever, CTCC is committed to administering our remote exams, safely, and securely, using third-party solutions as well as our live, nationally trained proctors.
Can you use ProctorU for remote testing?
Yes, remote proctoring fees with ProctorU or any approved testing facility will apply.
