What is FordPass remote access and how does it work?
Ford Remote Access was the remote start functionality before FordPass provided that functionality. The modem in that unit was 3G and the vendor discontinued that service at the end of 2020 due to the 3G network's imminent shutdown. FordPass provided remote start to vehicles equipped with a modem, called Ford Connect at one point.
Do I need the FordPass app and complimentary connected service?
