I have a 2013 Explorer and looking for the same thing, was told 2015-16 models are the only ones that have the SIM iD. Even though FORD says otherwise. You just got to find a Dealership that has a clue. Best if you can find one that has Lincoln attached, as they offer the SIM since 2013...

For the keyless entry app to work, your car must already have a keyless entry unit installed. You don't say if this is so. I'm guessing the "SIM ID" you are referring to would be the individual electronic code the key fob transmits so every keyless entry fob won't unlock every car in the lot. I've not heard it referred ti as that.

what is the spec? best to ring ford and they will tell you. just give them the registration/ chassis id. you can find the chassis id on the bottom of the front windowscreen on the passenger side, or a little flap on the right side of the drivers door. hope this helps.
