How do I add the Georgetown University Medical Center extension to iOS?

The extension redirects to DML subscriptions, legal, open access content or facilitates Document Delivery requests for materials not available. From there select the "iOS app", to be taken to the entry in the App store. Open the app and under "Settings - Select your Library", search for and select Georgetown University Medical Center (DML).

How do I login to my Georgetown University Medical Center account?

Go to the Google Play or App Store to download onto a smartphone or tablet. Download the app, select "Sign in" and use the "My Institutional Login". From the dropdown list, select "Georgetown University Medical Center". Authenticate with your Georgetown University NetID and password.

How do I get a clinical key for Georgetown University?

On a computer, go to the DML website, select ClinicalKey or ClinicalKey for Nursing, and click the "login" link. On the login page, go to the remote access section (bottom right) and click "apply now". On the next page, enter an @georgetown.edu or @gunet.georgetown.edu email address and click "continue".

Option 2: Use Lean Library

Download the Lean Library browser extension and choose Georgetown University Library in Settings. When you're on a page with a Library subscription, Lean Library will offer one-click access to full text.

Option 3: Use ProxyGU

ProxyGU Drag the ProxyGU button to your Bookmarks bar, and then click to reload your current webpage through the Library's proxy server.

Option 5: Use Google Scholar or another tool

Several other tools offer redirection through the Library's proxy server. Most are not officially supported by the Library, so we can only offer minimal help -- but you are welcome to try them out!

Does Lean Library redirect to a proxy server?

Save your settings and start your research! When you're on a site that has a Library subscription, Lean Library will automatically redirect you through the Library proxy server for access to Library-subscribed articles, books, journals, and other content.

Does Georgetown University have a lean library?

When you visit a site where the Library has a subscription, Lean Library will pop up notifications where you might have access through the Georgetown University Library.

Pharmacological App used to search for Pill IDs, determine drug interaction, ICD 10 codes, and calculators. The Epocrates Plus app is provided gratis by Epocrates only to those GUMC faculty and students involved in medical and nursing clinical education. This gratis access is limited to one year of use per user. Personal account using an @georgetown.edu or @gunet.georgetown.edu email account required. Good for background and foreground questions.

Clinical Pharmacology will display a confirmation screen and will send an authentication email to your address.

How do I access resources from off campus?

You will be prompted for your Georgetown University NetID and password when you click on the first resource through our website.

How do I locate journals owned by the library?

Go to the DML website. Under Quick Resources , click on Journal Finder and search by journal title. This is where you can find journals owned electronically by Dahlgren Memorial Library.

Why is Dahlgren Memorial Library not faxing?

Dahlgren Memorial Library is not responsible for errors in faxing due to poor image quality, problems on receiving end, incorrect numbers, etc. DML will make 3 attempts to fax documents. Failure may be caused by wrong number or it was busy at the time. Dahlgren Memorial Library does not receive confirmation that the document went through so DML recommends that patrons contact the person who is receiving the document. DML does not receive faxes.

How do I place a DML book on hold?

Please search the DML Catalog for the book. Once you located the book, click on available and follow the steps on placing a hold.
