This service assists with connection to Griffith systems from off campus. This service allows access to restricted services such as library resources and files on G: and H: drives. There is no cost associated with the use of this service.

What is Griffith's virtual meeting room?

Griffith’s Virtual Meeting Room (VMR) are dedicated virtual meeting spaces where multiple participants, both internal and external, can call in using video and/or voice to collaborate in a single conference call. Participants dial into a virtual meeting room and are automatically connected, removing the need for one person to setup the video conference. Virtual meeting rooms can be secured with a PIN for private meetings.

Do you need to update your Griffith password?

If you have stored or are signed into any applications with your old Griffith password, you will need to update each one with your new password.

Can you use a Griffith device for work?

Where possible it is preferred that you use your Griffith managed devices for work related tasks, should your role entail sensitive activities such as managing finances, patient or health records you must use a Griffith managed device. Should your role not deal with sensitive data or systems you should consider the following before using a personal device:

Does Jabber work on Griffith phone?

Jabber will only work for staff members who have their Phone Profile set up on their Griffith extension / video phone. It is optional for you to install the Jabber software on your computer. Find out more. NOTE - Please do not forward your work phone due to limited phone line capacity.

What is remote AD?

Remote Active Directory (AD) maps your G, H and Y drives to your Windows computer. This enables staff to access files as you would normally from your office.

Do all staff have a Y drive?

Note: Not all staff will have a Y: drive.

If you have approval from your line manager to work from home, please use this form for remote access requests. If you do not have your own device you can also request a laptop on the same form. Please note very limited laptop numbers available and requests will be prioritised based on organisational wide needs.
