Many people who need to access a network from outside on the Internet use VPN, which basically lets you connect to the network and access its resources as if you were physically there. Let me put my hand up at the start and say that I've never used VPN, so this is not a comparison of VPN versus Hamachi, but rather a taste of what Hamachi can do.
