I called 1-800-XFINITY, and they force you to do it online via their "assistant". The assistant would fail because the modem is in bridge mode. I'm trying to confirm a theory that Xfinity is pushing people to add $30 for the unlimited data plan by inaccurately telling people they went over their data limits. sales service, on January 12, 2022 a woman in the sales department sold me the internet service and home phone, at the time of the sale she offered to remove the cost of installation of the products, referring to about 90 dollars, she in turn offered to put in the notes of her system so that I could get such a discount, my invoice arrived a few days ago and they are charging me the activation of the service, immediately call customer service and basically the lady had no idea of what she was doing (lack of training or ownership of the role) so I requested a supervisor so I ended talking to a guy saying that he was the big boss ( completely an asshole)and the response of this manager was that the sales person could have promised it on the line but that was not valid since in the contract that she sent me did not appear said discount, And the worst thing is that he was aware that the sales agent were offering things and not honoring them ( how can a MANAGER have that kind of answers , how this guy is called a manager and having a shitty customer service skills) Isn't this scamming the customer? So my promo period for my 300Mbps service expired last month, which took me out from $60/mo to $75. Out of nowhere, my old modem continuously has packet fails and keeps putting hiccups in my network at home. I figured as the old Surfboard modem I had was 8 years old, I could enjoy a 600Mbps connection for $30/mo for 1 year with a new modem.
