What resources can I access remotely from the Hunter campus?

These resources can be accessed remotely by Hunter students, faculty and staff using your Hunter NetID & password. CLICS (CUNY Libraries Inter-Campus Services) is a service that allows you to have books delivered from almost anywhere in the CUNY library system to the Hunter campus.

Can I borrow books at the Hunter College Libraries?

Access and borrowing privileges at the Hunter College Libraries are limited to CUNY students, faculty, and staff, and to Hunter College alumni. Due to limited resources, we cannot accommodate students and faculty from other universities and colleges and members of the public.

What is the Hunter College proxy server?

From outside of Hunter College, the proxy server provides Hunter College students, faculty and staff with access to web-based electronic resources that are licensed to Hunter College only and those available CUNY-wide as well. You do NOT need a Hunter email account to access these resources from offices and computer labs located at Hunter College.

How do I access electronic resources from off-campus?

ACCESS ELECTRONIC RESOURCES FROM HOME! All electronic resources, including databases, journals, and ebooks, available to Hunter students, faculty and staff can be accessed on our Library website from off-campus via our proxy server. You must have a Hunter NetID and only use links to these licensed resources from our Hunter Library website.

Is Hunter College Library open to public?

This would afford you permission to visit the Hun ter College Libraries on a limited basis and would confer on-site reading privileges only. Consult with the librarians at your college or university library or the librarians at the New York Public Library at 42nd Street and 5th Avenue.

Does Hunter College have a reciprocity arrangement with Empire State?

We have a reciprocity arrangement only with Empire State College students and faculty, who must show valid ID from that institution. This arrangement does not extend to other SUNY campuses.
