The other way to look at it is that those who don't use it are no longer forced to pay for it in base price in order to subsidize those that are using it.

According to my.chevrolet.com, under connected services, it says my Basic Plan is good until December 30, 2019, and Chevrolet Connected Access is good until May 8, 2023. So I'm not sure when my smartphone remote start function ends.
