Can I access the UC Davis Library from off campus?
Access Online Materials from Off Campus. Using the library VPN Client, current UC Davis students, faculty, and employees may access our licensed resources from off campus with their UCD LoginID. The UC Davis Library catalog, Melvyl catalog, and other free resources are open to all and do not require use of the VPN.
How do I access licensed library resources from off campus?
To access licensed library resources from off campus, you must first sign into the library VPN using your UC Davis Kerberos (CAS) credentials. This must be done every time you want to access licensed library resources from off campus, unless a single sign-on option is available for the resource you want to access. The library VPN now requires Duo.

Off Campus Access Proxy Login
Once you log in, you will be returned to the library homepage. The word "proxy" should appear somewhere in the URL (e.g. proxy.libraries.uc.edu/). If you see that, you are in the proxy server.
How to connect to a library VPN?
To connect to the library VPN, you must download and install the Pulse Secure client on your computer or device. You only need to install Pulse Secure once on each device you want to use to access library resources. Keep in mind that you will need to update Pulse Secure periodically, as you would with any software.
