Land Record Research

Land records from 1757 to present are available for the public to research using Public Access terminals in the Clerk's Office. These records include, but are not limited to:

Staff is available to assist you with the Public Access System, but they are not authorized to perform legal research or interpret documents.

2022 LOCRA Renewal

Subscribers with active accounts can fill out and submit a Subscription Renewal Form (PDF) to extend their account through June 30, 2022.

About Loudoun Officer of the Court Remote Access

The General Assembly has authorized Circuit Court Clerks' Offices to allow secure remote access of digital case files to members in good standing of the Virginia State Bar and their authorized agents, pro hoc vice attorneys authorized by the court for purposes of the practice of law, and such governmental agencies as authorized by the Clerk.

Items available in LOCRA

The digital case files are kept using the Supreme Court of Virginia's Case Imaging System (CIS). Today pleadings, correspondence, transcripts, exhibits and paperwork received by the Circuit Court Clerk's Office in civil and criminal cases are scanned into digital format, as well as being kept in a paper format.

Subscription Fee

The fee for new subscriptions is based on on your starting date and is prorated. Any subscription starting after the 15th of the current month will be considered starting in the next month.

How to Subscribe

To gain access to LOCRA each attorney must complete an application agreement (PDF). The subscribing attorney is permitted to allow assistants the use of their account by sponsoring them. The attorney can sponsor as many assistants as they like. However the account can only be accessed by one person at a time.

What is a digital docket screen?

Digital Docket Screens provided to us by the Supreme Court of Virginia allows visitors to the courthouse to find out in what courtroom and at what time their case is being heard.

Does Loudoun County allow cameras?

At this time Loudoun County does not allow devices with cameras into the courthouse#N#Opens a New Window.#N#. Exceptions may be made for attorneys in good standing with the Loudoun County Bar Association.
