The Lowell General Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) is a non-profit organization comprised of approximately 400 member physicians and our hospital partner, Lowell General Hospital. The PHO was established in 1995 with the goal of developing a local, integrated delivery system providing outstanding quality care to patients in the Greater Lowell area.

The PHO is proud to be part of the Wellforce Clinically Integrated Network, a population health enterprise and value based care contracting entity comprising 2,300 primary care and specialist physicians, in private and employed practices, working in community and hospital settings. The Wellforce CIN's purpose is to build healthier communities and to create greater professional and personal satisfaction for its participating physicians. The Network was launched in July 2021 by building upon the legacies of two long standing, high performing organizations our PHO and New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA). The Wellforce CIN is a not for profit subsidiary of Wellforce.
