How does Lutron Home+ work?
Lutron Home+ communicates with RadioRa2 over 2 TCP ports (TELNET 23, HTTP 80), however the key component which makes the application find the main repeater on the network is multicast traffic generated by RR2 every 30 seconds. What happens if you forward port 23?
Port forwarding port 23 will always be ineffective at best, or detrimental at worst. Forwarding port 23 can cause Telnet lockout to go into effect which will cause the Connect mobile app to be unable to connect to the system.
Do restricted networks require special configuration?
Most networks will not require special configuration for these connections to be established. When dealing with a restricted network (normally found in a corporate environment) it is possible that some changes will need to be made by the network administrator.
Does every router have router settings?
