The Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) offers Maryland state agencies a secure, centralized VPN remote access platform.

Scope of Service

This section outlines the area of responsibility between the provider (DoIT) and the customer.

What is DOM desktop?

This is a generic desktop that provides access to the most commonly used systems/services, including the H and I drives. To use this system please submit an incident ticket including a description of what services you require.

Is Access subject to removal without notice?

Access is subject to removal without notice if unused.

Can I add shared mailboxes I own to OWA?

Yes! Follow the procedure below to add a shared mailbox to OWA. Note: By default, any email sent from a shared mailbox will be stored in the user's mailbox who sent the email. If your organization requires sent email to be available in the shared mailbox, you'll have to open the mailbox separately and send directly from it.

I need to open a mailbox separately

1.) Open the mailbox by clicking your picture in Office 365 ( Note: You can upload a professional picture in the Office 365 settings). Click "Open another Mailbox"

What is remote desktop access?

Remote Desktop - Provides access to internal County resources such as files and folders on the network (R, S, U Drives), Time Sheet, e-Mail, FCG Portal, Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook) and departmental resources. This is a virtual computer like interface to many of the tools you use at work.

What is Outlook Web Access?

Outlook Web Access - This offers quick and easy to access web version of Microsoft Outlook, so it might look a little different than what you see on your county desktop . Files and other programs will not be accessible.
