Because of the system’s age, it was difficult to add or change users. The access control system had reached its capacity, and Mercy Hospital was looking for a solution that would withstand severe weather and prepare the organization for the future.

Today, Mercy is a 234-bed , acute-care community hospital and regional referral center for southeast Iowa, providing a full range of medical services.
Does Mercy Hospital have a video surveillance system?
Mercy Hospital had partnered with CEC in the past for nurse call and video surveillance solutions. Based on its experiences with those projects, Mercy chose to partner with CEC for a new access control system as well.

COVID-19 Testing
As of Sept. 8, 2021, MercyCare primary care and urgent care clinics will only test symptomatic patients. Asymptomatic patients who wish to be tested should contact TestIowa.
