How to apply for privileges at Methodist?

When a physician applies for privileges at Methodist/Le Bonheur Healthcare, credentialing, insurance, and other required information is submitted and computer access forms are filled out through Medical Staff Services. Medical Staff Services assigns a number to the computer access form and Medical Education is contacted to send the information about required education that must be completed before privileges are granted. Medical Education monitors completed training every business day and adds all completed provider training to the Medical Staff Training Spreadsheet. Medical Staff Services verifies all credentials and monitors training spreadsheet for completed training. Once all requirements are met, the board meets and decides whether to grants privileges. Once privileges are granted, the computer account is built and the information about the account is sent to the provider. Once the account is built, IS Security will send the account information to the provider via email.

Can a nurse practitioner access Citrix?

Physicians, Fellows, Nurse Practitioners, and Residents that are credentialed in iPrivileges can access the Cerner system from home through www.methodistmd.org. If your computer does not have the Citrix client loaded, you will need to load this program to your computer. The download is available in the Quick Action Links under Access Instructions (PC/MAC).
