I am using my iPad with remote desktop and it works great when I am in a wifi location but when I am away from wifi I make my phone a hotspot and tether my iPad. Then my remote desktop will not connect. Is it possible to make this work?

Possible cause of the issue is that when you make your phone a hotspot, your iPad and your Windows PC is not in the same network. Unless you know the public IP address of your home network and proper configurations in your home router, you can connect to your Windows PC.

Hello I have the same problem. I'm using my iPad Air with a TMobile ZTE wifi hotspot. This combination won't let me RDP to my servers at work. No problem if I'm connected to my home Wifi or at Starbucks. I hope someone here can give us some pointers on how to correct this problem.
