NIH's virtual private network (VPN) offers a remote connection to the NIH network that ensures staff can securely access NIH tools, resources, and files from anywhere that allows internet access. Where possible, you are encouraged to use mobile devices and cloud-based services without connecting to the NIH network.

How many carrels are there in the NIH library?
The NIH Library has 5 private study carrels for individual use. These study spaces are unlocked and valuables should not be left unattended. Carrels have a desk, door, and WiFi. NIH staff can use them on a first-come, first-served basis.
How many computers are there in the NIH?
