What is the Virginia State Bar's LOCRA?

The General Assembly has authorized Circuit Court Clerks' Offices to allow secure remote access of digital case files to members in good standing of the Virginia State Bar and their authorized agents, pro hoc vice attorneys authorized by the court for purposes of the practice of law, and such governmental agencies as authorized by the Clerk. This is known as LOCRA.

Can an attorney sponsor an assistant?

The subscribing attorney is permitted to allow assistants the use of their account by sponsoring them. The attorney can sponsor as many assistants as they like. However the account can only be accessed by one person at a time. There is a spot in the application agreement where the sponsored individuals can be named.
