What is remote desktop and how do I use it?

Remote Desktop allows you to access your OSU COE campus desktop workstation running MS Windows remotely and securely. We currently have instructions for setting up access from Windows and macOS clients, and are working on documentation for Linux.

How do I access CN services from remote?

Use the links below to access CN services from remote. MyCN is a web-based tool for accessing files on your CN-Home and CN-Share network paths (also commonly referred to as the "P" and "S" drives). VPN is not required to access MyCN from off-campus.

How will I be connected to the OSU network?

Once the connection is established, the user will be connected to the OSU network through an encrypted tunnel. Passwords and other sensitive information will be securely transmitted over the Internet and into the campus network.

How do I protect my data on the OSU network?

Protect your and Oregon State's data with our virtual private network. Virtual Private Networking (VPN) gives the user a secure connection to the OSU network along with an on-campus IP address. Once the connection is established, the user will be connected to the OSU network through an encrypted tunnel.
