What remote access options does Vava support?
VA supports remote access with two different applications 1. Citrix Access Gateway (CAG) and 2. CISCO RESCUE VPN Client. The Citrix Access Gateway is designed for users that do not have VA Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) – CAG is a good option to allow users access to general applications such as email and chat.

You may request remote access by visiting the Remote Access Self Service Portal ( only available while on VA's internal network). Please note the Self-Service Portal is only accessible from within the VA network, it is not externally accessible.

Can I work while on OSAP 2021?
The OSAP application requires you to report study period income if it is more than $5,600 per term ($11,200 for the Fall/Winter academic session). Income above $11,200 for the session may impact your OSAP assessment. However, you can work as much as you can/want if you are able to balance school and work.
Does OSAP check your income?
The initial OSAP application only asks for the number of dependents attending post-secondary education, parental income and student contributions. Debt is not a category on the form.
Does OSAP go away after 15 years?
After 15 years, any remaining student loan debt is forgiven. For students with disabilities, any remaining debt is forgiven after 10 years. RAP replaced previous Interest Relief and Debt Reduction in Repayment Programs.
Can you use OSAP money for anything?
You can use OSAP to go to a private or public college or university anywhere in the world, as long as it's been approved.
How much income is too much for OSAP?
Grant funding will be available to families with incomes above $160,000, as the income threshold will increase with additional family members. For example, for a family of four, the new OSAP will provide non-repayable aid to students from families with annual incomes up to $175,000.
Can I get OSAP if I work full-time?
Can I receive OSAP if I work? You can work and get OSAP at the same time. However, keep in mind that you're only eligible for OSAP if you don't have enough money to cover your school expenses.
What is the max OSAP you can get?

When it is time for your funding to be released, the ministry will send notification to the National Student Loans Service Center (NSLSC) who will deposit the funds into your bank account. The bank account is the one you filled out on your MSFAA that you submitted to a designated Canada Post outlet.
Does OSAP send money to school?
Will OSAP pay the school for my tuition or do I have to pay it with my OSAP money? Every semester, the student is responsible to ensure their fees have been paid in full. The OSAP system is designed so that OSAP will remit tuition fees for one semester directly to the school with each release of funds.
What happens to OSAP if you withdraw?
Normally, grants through OSAP are money you don't need to pay back. However, the government may convert all or part of your OSAP grants to a loan if: you withdraw from studies within the first 30 days of starting school and don't return as a full-time student within 5 months in the same academic year.

What is a rescue GFE?
RESCUE GFE provides a security posture check and ensures VA data is encrypted from the end device into the VA trusted network. Prior to the device connecting and being allowed onto the VA trusted network the system is checked for multiple security baselines.
How to enable TLS 1.1?
To enable TLS within Internet Explorer: Select ‘Tools’, then ‘Internet Options’, then the ‘Advanced’ tab. Enable the checkbox for ‘Use TL S 1.1’ (found towards the end of the list).
