How to connect to the internet in Manor East?
Manor East — Wired internet connections can only be established by connecting to the network jack located in each bedroom. Connect a network cable (Note: The network cable is not provided and must be supplied by the Tenant) to your device and the appropriate jack labeled “B” (upper left hand corner of junction box). The jack labeled “A” is for connecting a telephone. The jack labeled “C” is not used. The common area will no longer support a wired Internet connection, except in three bedroom apartments.

What is VPN on campus?
Virtual Private Network is an application that connects a computer to the campus network with a secure, private path for data to move from locations off-campus to systems on-campus. The VPN connection encrypts data in transit which makes the data unreadable to personnel not authorized to view the data, such as hackers. A VPN is a general connection to the campus network which requires valid access credentials. Performing transaction campus systems such as CCure may require the entry of valid credentials for that system, which would be entered after the VPN connection is established.
What is VPN in tandem with RD?
A VPN in tandem with RD provides a secure, private communication channel which provides the capability for someone to work on their office computer from off-site, while protecting the data flowing back and forth.
