What is P-Macs?

Welcome to P-MACS - the case management system of the Minnesota Appellate Courts This is the public access site for the Minnesota appellate courts case management system, known as P-MACS. It provides access to the status of appeals filed with the Minnesota Supreme Court and the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

What remote access options does Vava support?

VA supports remote access with two different applications 1. Citrix Access Gateway (CAG) and 2. CISCO RESCUE VPN Client. The Citrix Access Gateway is designed for users that do not have VA Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) – CAG is a good option to allow users access to general applications such as email and chat.

How do I request remote access to the self-service portal?

You may request remote access by visiting the Remote Access Self Service Portal ( only available while on VA's internal network). Please note the Self-Service Portal is only accessible from within the VA network, it is not externally accessible.

What is PMACS client services?

The PMACS Client Services Group supports Windows and Macintosh desktop computers. We provide enhanced services such as CrashPlan Backup, Computer and equipment recommendations and order placement, vendor RMAs, provision of security software and settings, and security incident response. The PMACS Client Services group is also able to assist with desktop computer software and hardware inventory management and reporting.

What is PMACS software?

PMACS provides management for desktop computing software by imaging Mac and Windows PCs with current operating systems, license upgrades, Active Directory policies, malware troubleshooting, and general software and OS upgrades and maintenance.

What is PMACS CSG?

PMACS CSG performs printer installation and maintenance on approved printers. The Client Services group will gladly recommend a printer model that suits the size of the lab, workgroup, or office that a printer is requested for. PMACS will also perform network printer setup and supports TCP/IP workgroup printer sharing.

Does PMACS support phones?

PMACS welcomes users to bring their own devices to supplement the ones provided by departments for work use. We will support current and recent iOS and Android phones and tablets. Email, contacts, and calendars are supported via ActiveSync, and our CSG team will gladly assist with AirPennNet setup for secure wifi internet access. PMACS also provides connectivity for conference guests and other visitors who wish to use wifi while at the Perelman School of Medicine.

Systematically calculate and pay compensation in accordance with the producer’s contract or selling agreement. The commission schedules and rates are established in PMACS ® and vary by product and financial transaction. A DTCC interface is available for transmitting commissions to selling organizations.

How often do PMACS passwords expire?

All PMACS account passwords are set to expire every 180 days. To avoid your password from expiring and possibly preventing access to the PMACS cluster, all cluster users are encouraged to enroll into the reset system. The password reset application can be accessed here. Once enrolled, this system will also allow you to recover forgotten PMACS passwords and reset known/expired PMACS passwords.

What protocol is used to transfer data to HPC cluster?

Transferring data to/from the PMACS HPC cluster is done with program that supports the SSH v2 protocol. Programs like SCP, sFTP, rsync, WinSCP, Filezilla etc. are all supported.

What is Forticlient VPN?

The Forticlient VPN client gives you access to HPC resources from off-campus. Please download and install Forticlient to use the HPC cluster.

Does MobaXTerm remember passwords?

Once you have connected to the cluster it will ask you for your password. MobaXterm will remember your settings and save the session for future use under "Recent Sessions" when you open MobaXTerm again. If you would like to avoid having to manually enter your password each time you log in, consider setting up Public/Private key pairs on the cluster .

Does MobaXTerm support SSH?

MobaXTerm also supports SFTP during an SSH session. If you are connected to mercury.pmacs.upenn.edu via SSH, you can still easily upload and download files to your home directory.
