When selecting a Film actor, it invariably turns out to be a roll in a TV series that we recognize them from. But since we were in a Film cast looking them up, we only get to see other Films that they were in.

Plex is mature enough that this should be possible at this point. I am not a programmer or DBA but it seems that if both are using 'The Movie Database' then this should work. Oh, and skip intros for Chromecast would be nice : )

i was hesitant to upgrade all of my libraries from themoviedb & thetvdb to the new plex agents, but have slowly been migrating ~2000 tv shows & ~20,000 movies over. the metadata updates finally finished today and i just added a batch of movies.

I'm relatively new to this, but have loved collecting more and more movies and shows to my Plex library. It's so satisfying watching the library grow, completing movie collections, and finding the perfect posters for all of them.
It is super strange that Plex has a media player for almost everything but nothing for linux
