What is Promis?

Pupil Records Online Management Information System, PROMIS, was developed by the San Joaquin County Office of Education to address the specific needs of County Offices of Education.

How do I access seselected information from Promis?

Selected information from Promis/Gavel is available to the public via public access terminals located at courthouses in each county and via the Internet public access portal.

How does Promis track attendance?

PROMIS has the ability to track high rates of student movement by providing several options for attendance recording and tracking including: Daily, Independent Study, Period Attendance, and more. PROMIS has several grading options including six different grading portals designed for county programs.

Can I access Promis and reports distribution via the Internet?

PROMIS and Reports Distribution is no longer available via the Internet. Please use the MFA Remote Access (New ACS Remote Access) link. If you do not have Remote Access, please contact your agency IT staff.

What is Promis data?

PROMIS provides centralized data allowing for multiple school sites to work seamlessly together within their district through the generation of real time custom and ad hoc reports. Student records can transfer instantly between Districts and LEAs.
