Create an account
To connect to your Raspberry Pi remotely you’ll need to set up an account. Open the web browser and head to https://remote.it. Click on ‘Sign up’ and enter your email address. You will be emailed a verification code. Enter this code and pick (and confirm) a password.
Update and install

Register the Raspberry Pi

The drawback to the web service is that all your data passes through a proxy computer. For a more private connection, the remote.it app for Windows and macOS enables you to form a peer-to-peer (P2P) connection.

Step 6: Conclusion
Now you will have remote access to a Raspberry Pi on the Network you've chosen. This means the Pi can serve as an access point to the other devices that are on that network!
Remote Access to PI via Telephone Line !?
I have two US Robotics USB modems (5637) that are accessible on my Pi 3B, I can successfully send AT commands to dial / answer etc via minicom. I would like to dial in to my remote Pi over a regular POTS phone line and have access to the command line. Does anyone know if this is possible and what I need to do?

'Fraid I don't have details either but you don't need pppd for command line access. A modem set to auto answer combined with a getty running on the serial port should be enough.

Yes! I think agetty might do the trick here. Currently on my "answering" Pi, agetty is pointed to ttySO. Is this necessary or can it be changed
