I have a really generic setup here. I have a single Domain Controller running Server 2012 R2. I have also setup a single Remote Desktop Services server using Server 2012 R2 and show everything to be working correctly. I can login LOCALLY to the RDS server and everything works fine. I can see the icons and launch my applications with no problems.
