What is Remote Desktop Access and how does it work?

Remote Desktop access is a way of accessing and controlling your office computer's desktop as if you were sitting in front of it. This can be useful for connecting to your office PC to access applications installed there, for example.

Does ECE allow remote desktop access from outside of ECE?

We do not allow remote desktop access from outside of ECE. What you can do, and this is completely unsupported, is tunnel port 3389 on the remote end through ssh to one of the ecelinsrv systems, and then connect to the tunnel.
